Yorgos Karamalegos

Lead Movement and Performance Coach

Born in Athens, Yorgos is an actor, director, acting coach and an embodiment facilitator. He previously co-founded Tmesis Theatre Company as well as the international festival of physical theatre ‘Physical Fest’. In 2011, Yorgos founded Physical Lab, a London based laboratory for acting and performance, that runs in Europe, and in the US. He has taught and directed at LAMDA, RADA, Drama Centre London, Williams College (USA), PACE University in NYC and more.

Utilising his own performance-based methodology developed through the laboratory, Yorgos has coached acting and movement for numerous productions throughout Europe and the US, both at the helm of a production and also working privately with them to assist with their scenes and character development. Yorgos has worked with politicians and professionals from the business sector on embodiment, speech delivery and confidence building.

Yorgos believes that each actor needs to understand and thrive with their very own method, so the work is a one to one facilitation to identify each person's individual technique and charisma.
